Mr. Tomokatsu Tsukahara leads the litigation group of SOEI Patent & Law Firm. After being a member of various benches of Courts throughout Japan between 1980 and 2003 he became Presiding Judge of the Tokyo High Court, IP Division, in 2003. From 2005 to 2007 he was Presiding Judge with the IP High Court, before becoming Chief Judge of the IP High Court in 2007. After the retirement in 2010 hebecame a professor at the Waseda Law School. In 2013 he joined Soei Patent & Law Firm.
